Since my cancer diagnosis back in April, I have been trying to stay focused on my treatment and the upcoming months. I am still getting my treatment, which is amazing because I had no idea it would be so intense and the side effects could be so varied. My doctors have said that I need to be more aggressive with my treatments and that I will be looking at having a second surgery. They said that since this is my second year of chemotherapy, my body is more vulnerable to cancer.
This is what I’ve been working on the past few weeks. I’ve been researching online and reading as much as I can about cancer, as well as finding the things that I need to watch out for and keeping myself up-to-date on the latest news. This is also my third year of going to chemotherapy and I have already been through two rounds. While I don’t have a guarantee that I won’t have another round, I do have a feeling that it will happen.
I was a little worried about cancer, and the fact that I was a little anxious about it. But Ive been doing so much research and reading that it seems to be an unstoppable entity that isnt going to give up anytime soon. While in my early twenties, I was never afraid of getting cancer. I was diagnosed with this disease in the early nineties, and it was at that time that I discovered the healing power of meditation.
I think my cancer was at least partially responsible for the anxiety that I became aware of at the time. Ive always been a person that likes to think that a disease is a mystery. You think its going to turn out to be something that can be cured, you think its going to turn out to be a death sentence, but this disease, I knew it was a mystery. It was something that was going to be explained and that you were going to be able to prevent it from happening.
The most profound effect of meditation, as we all know, is an increase in serotonin levels, the neurotransmitter that helps regulate mood and sleep. Although there have been some studies that show that meditation can actually reduce stress, the main effect of meditation on our bodies is a feeling of calmness and happiness. It’s the same general effect that yoga and meditation have on our minds.
Of course, the idea of meditation doesn’t come cheap. According to the popular belief, meditation is as much about free will as it is about getting a spiritual enlightenment. But in reality, meditation can actually help reduce stress. The more we practice, the fewer stressful situations we face. We don’t have to go to the gym and lift heavy weights. We can instead just sit down in a quiet room and focus on what we are doing.
So in cancer, meditation really is just a way to reduce stress. Most people believe that meditation is a spiritual path, and it can be a good way to reduce stress. But the truth is that its actually a way to reduce your stress. In the same way that yoga is good for your lower back and legs, meditation helps your mind focus on a certain area of the brain.
The truth is that meditation and yoga are two different things. Meditation is a physical practice that involves breathing, mind focus, and some concentration. Yoga is a more active, mental practice that involves physical postures and stretching. This makes it a lot harder to compare. There are definitely some things that are similar between the two.
While it can be hard to separate the two, the biggest difference is that yoga is more focused on a physical goal while meditation is more focused on a mental goal.
