I’m a big Capricorn and I love love love to eat, drink, and be entertained. That said, I am also a pretty lazy person. I like to chill out, unwind, and stay in touch with my inner nature. I don’t mind not being out and about all day long, but I do mind being a bit more mindful and intentional with some of the more mundane things in my life.
A big part of my life is traveling around Europe and taking care of business. I work at a travel company in Vienna, Austria, where I am one of the only people who knows the exact address of every single hotel they have, so I know exactly where to go and what to do. For example, I recently got a job as the “chief of the sales team” for the company. This is because I know exactly where all the hotels are and how to get to them.
The thing about traveling is that you can’t think about it enough. You end up doing a lot of planning, a lot of worrying, a lot of worrying. But you can’t let it ruin your life and your travel plans. When you decide to stop traveling for a little while, you have to make peace with the fact that you’re not going to be able to see it until you get back.
If I had a dime for every time I heard someone say that they didn’t have time for travel, I’d be rich.
It is easy to forget that the only time we actually travel is for work, for work-related reasons, and for work-related reasons only. But as a society we have to deal with the fact that we can’t just go off and have fun for an hour or two when its not necessary. We need to prioritize some stuff (like our families, or our relationships, or our jobs). But most of all, we need to make sure we are all okay.
You see, traveling is not only good for your health (which is a pretty important one, as we all know), but it is also the best way to travel if you are planning to do so for a long period of time. But travel is not always easy, and many people find that going all out and flying to exotic locations for a long time just doesn’t work for them.
And yet, even when we go to far away places, we come back, we do our chores, we rest, and we get back to what we need to do in our daily lives. And the same goes for our relationships–when we have a good relationship with someone we dont over-think everything about it, or do things blindly, but we still get back to the normal routine that brings us happiness and contentment.
This is what it’s like for me. I have a few good friends and coworkers, but I also have a few bad ones. There’s a good chance that one of the bad ones is the one who is constantly making me want to break things off. My friends and coworkers are also the ones who know I’m the best cook in town. And I’m the only one who has the money to stay in the house I rent.
Sometimes when you’re doing something you’ve been doing for a while or something that you’ve done for a while, you’ll get a little bit of a jolt of motivation. In fact, the idea of doing this for yourself is great to do for yourself. If you want to really get good at something, then you have to get better at it.
That’s probably why it was so hard for me to write this post. I know I said I was doing something I’ve never done before, but I was never so motivated to write a blog post as I am right now. I’ve been doing this for so long, I’ve been so motivated to write, I can’t even remember why I started. And it kind of makes me wonder what I’m doing wrong.
