The Central Tech drum right is a term coined by Dave Matthews, a music industry professional, for what he calls the “drum right of the tech industry”.
As the drum right is one of those things that has become very common, it’s not something you hear often anymore. It’s simply an idea that has been used since the early 1980s to describe the way a company makes money.
So, what is a drum right? A drum right is when a company makes a product (like a drum) and sells it to the public. The first idea was that the drum right was an indication of the quality of the product, and as you can imagine, that idea has never really stuck.
But, we are no longer talking about drum rights as a way to describe a product. They have been used by tech companies for years to describe the kinds of things that they make. Instead we are now talking about them as a way to describe companies. We are also discussing how companies have used them to describe themselves in the past, specifically how companies have used them to describe themselves in the early 2000s.
When I first read about central tech drumrights, I was flabbergasted at how many tech companies still used them to describe themselves in the early 2000s.
It’s actually pretty rare that one of the most common terms for a tech company is used in the tech press. One of the few examples that springs to mind is the now-defunct company called “CNET.” The company was founded in 1999 and used the term “central tech drumright” for the first few years.
In 2004, the company was acquired by the cable giant Cablevision and CNET was purchased by CNET in 2006.
Even then, CNET’s tech was terrible. The only innovation was its own logo, which was so bad that it caused Cablevision to change it. In the years following Cablevision’s buyout, CNET’s tech has been mostly the same. I was honestly shocked to see how much the term central tech drumright has been in use by tech companies since 2004. It’s so common that it’s almost like a cliché now.
The term is so ubiquitous that I still remember CNETs logo from the first two years of the company. It was a circle with a yellow star on the right.
We are talking about the so-called “central tech” of the video-game industry, a term that comes up a lot in articles about tech companies. But the technology I’m talking about is not central to video games. It’s the technology that allows computers to execute code once a second, which is how video games work.
