I recently visited the Georgia Tech Business School and I had the opportunity to sit down with some of the business school students that worked with me. I had the opportunity to speak with them about their experiences with various business degrees and what they think their expectations and wants are going to be in the future.
The first thing that I would like to say to all of you is that Georgia Tech is a place that is very different from other business schools. It is an urban university, that is located in the state of Georgia, with a very young and diverse student body. It is a place that is very tech-focused, so it is a place that is very easy to get involved in. Georgia Tech Business School is definitely a place that I would recommend to any business owner.
Georgia Tech Business School is a business school, not a business school. The idea behind Georgia Tech is to educate students in business and industry. But they’re not an entrepreneurial school. They teach students to be entrepreneurial. So you do not get to have an entrepreneurial mindset without some sort of business education. But Georgia Tech is a business school, so you get that.
Geography and business are two different things. In business, you have to be able to apply a certain amount of knowledge to a specific situation. Georgia Tech Business School wants to teach you how to apply your knowledge to a specific situation, but it doesnt want you to be a salesman. The goal is to be a customer advocate.
If we are being honest with ourselves, we probably just want to get our hands dirty. The real business school, however, wants you to be a business teacher, whether it be for a school or a corporation. That means you have to have a certain amount of knowledge and a certain amount of experience for a particular skill set. Geography and business are two different things.
The business school knows you’re going to be spending a large portion of your time in a business environment dealing with customers and salespeople. So, it’s not really a problem for them if you’re not a salesman. That is, however, a problem for the business school. Because when you’re not selling, you’re not learning. You’re just sitting in a classroom looking like, “I’m a student.
That’s exactly what we’re doing at Georgia Tech. We work in the business school. We teach the business management classes, and we’re just like any other business school class. We have a lot of fun, but are also very strict about what we expect of our students. So we’re a bit worried that we may have a terrible professor.
The problem is that, like all other business schools, we are extremely competitive. We dont want to send students to classrooms where they will not learn the skills they need in order to be successful. So we created a “master class” in which we give students a specific task, and then have them work on it for 5 hours.
It’s actually quite the opposite. Instead of giving students a task, we teach them how to perform it. In this case we gave students a task to do in order to get their grade on the test. We ask them to make a spreadsheet with every page of the website that you are going to visit and then submit it to us. Of course, we are very strict on this, and you will notice that we give students a time limit to complete the task.
The first few times, students are really slow at this. It takes them a while to figure out how to make the spreadsheet, and after that they are actually pretty good at it. For the next few days there is a lot of trial and error, and they are still not quite there. Now that they are getting used to the process, they are really good at it, and are able to submit the spreadsheet on the first day.
