I think it is because the majority of our thoughts and actions are on autopilot. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing either. Our habits, routines, impulses, and reactions carry us through our lives so we don’t have to stop and think about it every time we wipe our ass or start a car.
This may or may not apply to you and your own life. However, I think that it does apply to many people. For example, I was on a beach this summer in Florida, when I got home from work and realized that I had forgotten to take my phone out of my pocket. I’m not sure whether or not I took my phone out of my pocket or if I just didn’t have it yet.
I think this is probably why people who are on social media sites for long periods of time tend to have a harder time forgetting what they are on. That’s why some people tend to have more issues with remembering things because they are used to being on that social media site.
I know it seems like I’m going to say something stupid now, but I have a bad habit of leaving my phone somewhere in my bag while I’m at work, so it was very easy for me to forget it there. It’s also why I tend to have a harder time remembering things when I have to take them out and put them back in my pocket every few days.
I know Im exaggerating a bit, but if you have a habit of leaving your phone somewhere in your bag, I guarantee you that it wasn’t very hard for you to forget it in your bag the first time you went back and checked.
I had to go back to college in the Fall for my Associates degree and I had to bring my phone with me. Thankfully I had an in-building charger that I could use. I couldn’t get it to work at all, but I was still able to get it to work after a bit of troubleshooting.
The last time I had to go back to college was in the Fall of 2015, so I pretty much had to bring my phone with me every time I needed to check my emails. Also, I forgot all my contacts in my contacts list. The first time I went back to college a few months ago I had already forgotten my phone at least a half dozen times. This was the first time I went to get it back.
I think its because I have a lot of contacts and I forget them all the time, its much harder to just look at my contacts list and remember my phone number. And I do have the habit of forgetting my contacts and then looking at them later in the day.
This is why I think it important for people to have a phone while they’re in college. The main reason I use my phone is so I can transfer calls between devices without having to call each one separately. Because I’m such a tech nerd I’m also into all things internet and mobile.
I use my phone for the same reason. It is my main mobile network to connect to. Because Im so very tech savvy it is also my main network for texting. I also use my phone for my contact list, as Im really, really into lists. So much so that I even have a little list of my contacts called my email contact list.
