I was born into a world that is nothing more than a vast number of dreams. A world that never stops spinning. A world that takes me and spins me. A world that never sleeps and is always alive.
That world is the constellation of the night sky. It is the place that we see every night and every day. The place that we look up at and wonder if we can see the sky before it’s gone. The place that shows us that our world isn’t all we ever will be.
As you might have guessed, the constellation of the night sky is the one place in the universe where stars are born and die. That’s why it’s called no man’s sky. In the old days, that was the only place you could find the stars. But now, instead, many of the stars are born in a place called the Milky Way. And it’s this Milky Way that the new game Deathloop will inhabit.
Deathloop’s world, the Milky Way, is a huge, beautiful spiral galaxy about 40,000 light years from Earth. Each year, thousands of stars will die in that galaxy. Some of the stars will fall into our galaxy. Some will fall into the Milky Way. And some will fall into each other. Some of the stars will be thrown out of the Milky Way into the universe in a way that is never explained. But its likely that some will fall into the Earth.
The universe has only been around for about 100,000 years according to NASA. That means at least 100,000 stars would have to be born in the Milky Way and die in the universe. And with the current rate of star-fallning, that is unlikely to happen. It does, however, mean that someone is going to be born a star. So, there is a chance that we will be born a star, and someone will die a star.
If we’re born in the Milky Way, it doesn’t mean we can get into the Milky Way or fly around in space. Instead, we’ll be born a star in a faraway galaxy. In that faraway galaxy, we have a few star-born advantages. First, we’ll be born in a galaxy with lots of stars.
First off, well be born to be really, really, really pretty. This means that you probably have some really nice hair. Second, well be born in a galaxy with lots of very-short-lived stars. This means that you probably have a lot of very-short-lived hair. Third, well be born in a galaxy with lots of very-long-lived stars. This means that you probably have a lot of very-long-lived hair.
Because of these three, we are literally able to see the universe from within our own galaxy. Our galaxy, known as our home galaxy, is so close to other galaxies that all of them are visible from within our own galaxy. So even if you don’t live in the galaxy, you are able to see all of the galaxies in the universe.
Well, that is pretty cool. However, it does give us a bit of a problem. Because when those very-long-lived stars go supernova, we are able to see them as they are. You see, when a supernova happens, the universe goes on forever. The fact that we can see the universe from within our own galaxy causes us to think that it is all the universe.
So when you think about all of the galaxies we can see, including earth, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that the universe is not all we see. But that’s okay. Because just like we can see a galaxy from within our own galaxy, if you take a closer look you can see that the universe is also a galaxy. In this way, the universe is like a galaxy that we can see within our own galaxy.
