There is a lot of truth in the word “over-engineered.” We’ve been conditioned to believe that it takes more horsepower to do something, as if we’re just more powerful than the average person. It’s a lie.
Over-engineering is something that happens when companies get too big. They invest too much money in something and it ends up costing them a lot of money. If the company is big enough, they can afford to hire a bunch of contractors to take care of the project, but if its a small company, its still too much overhead.
The biggest over-engineered companies are those that are too big to take care of themselves. If a company is too big to do its own thing, then it’s probably doing a lot of things that don’t really matter, and is probably over-engineered. So, if you’re reading this, you probably want to work your way up to a position where you can hire a bunch of contractors to do something for you.
If you are working with a company that is too big to do it on, then its probably over-engineered. If you are a company that is too small to do it on, then its probably not. Again, this is a generalization, but both companies are not doing their job properly by trying to use over-engineering.
Again, this is a generalization, the reason it is over-engineered is because it is overly complicated. And this is also true with contractors. They should be allowed to do their jobs, but they should not be allowed to do everything for you without having the ability to do so.
Again, the reason they are over-engineered is that they are too small. Because they don’t have all the people they need to keep up with all the new technology they are dealing with, they are trying to be too small.
I understand the argument, for me it really comes down to the fact that I have the same problem with the contractor. I’m always concerned about how much of the job I have to do. Since I’m a contractor I’m constantly wondering how much of a part of the job I have to do.
The problem is that contractors are typically doing the bulk of the work for the building. They are in charge of the plumbing, electrical, and sometimes even the mechanical aspects of the project. It can be a scary role to play, especially for the inexperienced. As a result most contractors are really good at what they do but they are often in over their heads when it comes to technology.
Most contractors know that you can’t do everything yourself. That is, you can’t really do everything you need to do. But most of the time, at the end of the day, you can do a lot of what the contractor really needs to do. The downside of this is that it can make it difficult to communicate with him.
ou vs tech is the problem. If a contractor has a problem with something that the client is doing, he might want to contact the client and go through the tech. But the problem is that the contractor might not be able to see the tech and not know what to do. If the contractor is in over his head, but is trying to fix the problem himself, he may not know the way to do this.
