You know how you get stuck in a place like this? The one where you can’t seem to budge.

While in the course of playing Deathloop, you’ll actually find yourself stranded in an alternate version of the game, where your character controls a reversed chariot. This is sort of a cool feature, but it also takes away the “fun” of the game.

Turns out that the chariot is actually the most powerful vehicle the game has to offer. The other vehicles are only useful because they can serve as transportation, and the chariot is a lot of fun in that it can go through walls, climb trees and platforms, and even jump off of falling objects.

I’ll say right now that I don’t think I could ever take a trip in this thing. We’ll see how the developers get on once they make it more “real”.

I still think that the chariot really is a fun ride in a game, but I do have to say that its not as smooth as it could be, and that it would require more skill to take control of it than to just push buttons.

The developers also say that the chariot can only travel in a straight line unless the player uses the cheat code “reverse”. You can then go through walls, jump off of falling objects, and even roll from platform to platform. The developers didn’t really explain this part too well, but I can’t really fault them for not explaining anything. It’s a bit confusing in a space where you’re supposed to be able to control the direction of travel through the chariot.

The reverse chariot is an interesting concept. This is a fun new mode to play in the game, but it can be confusing at times. This sort of thing could have been done in an easier way. If the game is using reverse chariots, then it should have at least mentioned it in the description.
