It’s true that technology has changed the way we interact and create in the last couple of decades.
I guess that’s true. But there’s been so much progress in technology, and it’s just so easy to forget that so many changes were made in the past because they were so easy.
So I guess what I meant to say is that technology has changed our view of things. It has made our lives easier and more convenient but it also made a greater number of us forget to pay attention to things we need to. We all know that there was a time when technology only took us so far in terms of entertainment and social interaction. Now it seems they have extended that even further, and we forget about the little things we need to do every day.
Technology is an important part of life but it also changes the way we think about it, especially when we think about making it ourselves. Just like the old saying “if it’s too hard you should try harder,” we’re all guilty of forgetting to take advantage of the things we have the power to do. And it’s so easy to forget to do the things that you need to do.
For instance, if you have a smart phone you can text and text and text and reply to texts, but it’s so easy to forget to do that. And if you go online and send an email or an instant message you can forget to do that. The key to being able to multitask is to be able to consciously choose to do the thing you need to do.
The difference between trying to remember to do something that you’re trying to do and choosing to do the thing that you choose to do is the difference between being able to do something and being able to control what you’re able to do. In other words, you can’t be both (or neither) at the same time.
Sure enough, just like with the sleep cycle, the brain is wired to keep us moving through the day. However, when we’re busy doing something we just don’t want to, we can choose to do something else. For example, you may have a long commute that you have just decided is not worth the hassle. Then you could choose to do something else. When you take a walk, you may choose to take a walk to clear your head.
There is also a time when we are able to choose to focus on something we want to do, like take a nap, relax, or get a little work done, but this is not the same as the time when we can choose to do something different. When we are not busy doing something, we are unable to choose to do something else, so we choose to do something else.
We can choose to do something different because we are busy doing something different. When we don’t have any other choice, then we are able to choose to be busy doing something else.
The most important part of how we feel is how we decide to feel. When we do something that we feel will make us happy, we are able to chose to feel happy. When we do something that we feel will make us sad, we are able to choose to feel sad. When we do something we feel will make us angry, we are able to choose to feel angry.
