Virginia Tech Electric, Inc. is an independent electric service provider. Virginia Tech Electric serves the greater Richmond area – the heart of the commonwealth. Our customers include businesses, schools, community organizations, and individual home customers.
This is the company that we’ll be working with on this new project. We’re excited to work with them because they’re doing something really cool with their electric service. This is the first time we’ve had a tech company partner with us and represent their services as well. We’ll be looking to grow our relationship with them as a result of this partnership.
Virginian tech is a joint venture between the state of Virginia and the City of Richmond. This partnership is to take advantage of our shared infrastructure. In Virginia we have: an electric grid, a transmission system, and a power distribution system. With this we can create a new network of electric service for the commonwealth that will be much more reliable and efficient. We expect to have our first customers by the end of this year.
The electric service we create is going to be a lot cheaper than our current one. But the good news is that it will be much more reliable. When you get a call from Virginian tech you are likely to never, ever have to worry about a power outage. The electric company is going to be able to send you emergency power from the grid at any time, and you are going to be able to use your own power at the same time from your own power source.
Virginian tech isn’t the only company that can provide the same service. Other companies are doing their own research to come up with a cheaper, cheaper, cheaper system, and we are absolutely not against this. The problem is that there are some people who will see this as a money-grab. But at the end of the day, Virginian tech has the best electricity pricing in the country. We don’t want to give the power company the incentive to overcharge.
Virginian Tech is looking for an alternative to the company that sells the cheapest, most inefficient gas-powered system around. Virginielectric.com is a company that has been at this since the company was founded in 1997, and this summer they will become the official electricity provider for all of the state of Virginia. Virginielectric is one of the largest electric providers in the nation. They offer the cheapest electricity rates in the country.
Virginielectric.com is the newest name in the electric-car game. It was created in the summer of 2006, but it hasn’t actually made a profit since the start of the year. Instead they are looking to make money by selling you electric cars that look, act, and sound like an electric car. Because Virginielectric.com is a publicly traded company, they can charge customers a premium for using their service because they are using their own customer base.
Virginielectric.com charges a $300 monthly fee (plus tax) for a car that is electric. There are also a couple of other fees that are based on your usage, and the company offers a free 100 kWh “recharge pack” if you use the entire month on electricity.
The Virginielectric website is so cute… it makes me want to buy a car and drive to work. I like the idea of it because it gives me a chance to actually take a test drive before I buy it. The website is pretty simple, and the car looks pretty cool too. It is based off of a Volkswagen Golf GTI, and it has a few differences.
First of all, the Virginia Tech electric car is one of the first cars to be built with batteries in them, and they’re super-efficient. All that energy is stored in the batteries, which are made of Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and a lot of other stuff too. The electric car also has an inverter, which allows for charging to the standard 120 volts provided by the utility company.
