This is a very simple recipe based on traditional Asian rice porridge. I’ve made it for years and it’s been good. So good, in fact, that I’ve changed it up this year and made it gluten free. And this is what I came up with. It was so simple to make and so good. I’ve made it with black rice, but you can use brown if you like.
Ive tried making this rice in the past and it came out pretty unrefined. This time Ive added a variety of ingredients to my rice: chopped broccoli, chopped carrots, cilantro, jalapeño, and red pepper flakes. I also added a 1 cup water which I found to really help the rice to thicken up. It’s pretty good.
