It may not all be about making tons of money, but you do need to make connections with people that will give you access to the right resources.
If you’re looking for an entry-level tech sales job, you’re missing out on the best part. Being a tech salesperson isn’t just about selling yourself or your product. It’s about making connections with the right people. Its about getting you to a place where you can talk to them and ask questions and get them to be part of the sales team.
For a job like that, youll need to get a lot of interviews. And youll have to be ready to do it. Theres no getting around that. A tech salesperson has to be prepared to walk in and do their best to sell you on their product or service. And there are a ton of them out there. Theres only a certain amount of candidates you can afford to ignore because of their high salary.
There are a lot of sales jobs out there. But the best ones pay well. But not so well that you might think you can just go out and get one. And even so, there are a ton of them. But as you can imagine, there are some pretty tough ones. Because the best salespeople know that theyll need to do some pretty hard selling and theyll need to have some hard sales techniques. It goes back to the “getting to know you” thing.
Salespeople need to understand that you are a person who cares about your business and who believes in the company’s mission. They’ll need to get to know you to understand your strengths and weaknesses, your dreams, and values.
